Byzantine Choir 'Kalophonarides'
Biographical Note
The Byzantine Choir 'Kalophonarides' (Good voiced ones) was formed by Yiorgos Remoundos. It is composed of twenty members and has participated in many performances in and outside of Athens as well as in radio and television broadcast programs on the state radio and television stations.
The choir has presented its work in four albums of ecclesiastical hymns: Oxeia, Vareia, Petasti (1997), Troparion of Kassiani (chanted during Holy Week on Great and Holy Wednesday, 2002), Angelon to systima eis to anthropinon genos (2004), and Gevasthe kai idete (Hymns of the Great Lent, 2007).
