Manousos Klapakis
Biographical Note

Manousos Klapakis was first taught percussion at an early age by his father, Michalis Klapakis. A graduate of the Musical High School of Pallene, he also studied violin and musical theory at the National Conservatoire under Yannis Zevgolis, and orchestral percussion under K. Vorisis and K. Theodorakos at the Zografos Municipal Conservatoire. He was taught daouli by Υiorgos Gevgelis and has participated in seminars by percussionists of world reputation such Glen Velez, Zohar Fresco and Okay Temiz.
He accompanies dance performances, and both traditional and contemporary Greek music, in performances in Greece and abroad. He teaches music in Music Schools, conservatoires and theatre workshops in Athens.
He was a member of the ground breaking percussion group 'Ta Daktyla tis Ekatis' and from 2003 onwards has been playing with the musical group 'Itanos'.
From 2015 he is member of the Anastatica Project by Katerina Papadopoulou.
