Charalambos Giannopoulos
Biographical Note

Born in 1946 in the village of Kerasia in Kalavryta. He plays the clarinet, the flute and the lute.
In 1966, he settled in Athens and studied with the great folk practical instrumentalists Tasos Chalkias and Simos Kyriakatis.
In 1972, he met Simon Karas and enriched his theoretical music knowledge at his side by studying Byzantine music. For many years, he was a partner of the "Society for the Dissemination of National Music", performing at the association’s events, participating in Simon Karas’s radio shows, and teaching clarinet and flute at the Society’s school.
