Domna Samiou taped the song in 1960 at Nea Smyrni (Attica); friends of her mother's originating from the village of Bayindir (Asia Minor) used to sing it. In Chaidari (Attika), Domna met Kostas Pergantis, born in Phokies (Foça, Asia Minor) who sung the same song for her in 1978.
