Notes
The gaida is three tube bagpipe, not very different from the Scottish or Italian variety. The first tube (chanter or fingering tube) has seven openings in the front and one in the back for the thumb. The second tube is for the player to blow wind into the bag. The third tube provides the drone. A two-tube variant of the gaida -used only in the islands- is the tsabouna. The bag of the gaida is usually made of sheep or goat skin. Markos. Ph. Dragoumis (1974)
