Σήμερα είναι των Φωτών που ψάλλουν οι παπάδες
και που γυρίζουν τα στενά και λεν τον Ιορδάνη.
Βοήθεια τον έχομε τον Μέγα Ιωάννη
που περεδέχθην ο Χριστός να πα να τον βαφτίσει.
Ώχου, αφέντη μου Χριστέ και πώς θα σε βαφτίσω
που θα καούν τα χέρια μου, σαν το κερί θα λείσουν
και σαν το κιτρολέμονο θα κιτρολεμονίσουν;
