Zoe N. Margari
Biographical Note
Born and raised in Athens. She holds a bachelor and a master’s degree in Ethnology and Anthropology from the University of Vincennes-Saint Denis, Paris VIII, as well as in Kinesiology from the Conservatoire Nationale Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. Doctor of Anthropology of the University Vincennes - Saint Denis, Paris VIII. She has since worked as a scientific associate and as a head of research in many research programmes and in scientific programmes of institutes such as the Athens Academy, the Universities of the Aegean and of Creta, the National Technical University of Athens etc.
From 1999 she is scientific associate of the Department of Traditional Music of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus and from 2002 to April 2009 she was a member of the Institute’s academic community. In addition, she has been a professor in bachelor and master’s courses of various educational institutes, among which are: the Department of Traditional Music of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus, the Department of Teacher Education of the National Technical University of Athens, the Centre for the Development of Vocational Training of the University of Aegean, the Institute of Continuous Adult Education, the Educational Centre of the Agricultural Bank of Greece and the 'Summer Theatre Academy' of the National Theatre of Greece.
In May 2009 she was appointed researcher at the Research Centre for Greek Society (Academy of Athens).
