Ήθελα να 'χα δυο καρδιές τη μια να στη χαρίσω,
την άλλη να την έχω εγώ να μη σε λησμονήσω.

Και τ' αστεράκια τ' ουρανού τα λαμπροφορεμένα
θα μαυροφορεθούν κι αυτά αν δε σε πάρω εσένα.

Καρδιά μου βάστα υπομονή όπως βαστάει το χώμα
που το πατούν και δε μιλεί γιατί δεν έχει στόμα.
